What we ask before the visit
Two photos save everyone a trip. One of the wall you want the TV on, and one of the back of the TV or its model number.
Those tell us the mount pattern, the likely wall build, and whether the cords can be hidden inside the wall or need a surface channel. If a job needs something we do not carry on the van, we would rather find out before we are standing in your living room.
Austin walls are not all the same
Older homes around central and south Austin often have plaster, uneven stud spacing, or a masonry chimney breast. Newer builds near Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville usually have drywall over wood studs. The builder’s blocking may not be where you want the TV.
Either way we check first and tell you what we find. If the spot you picked will not hold the TV safely, we say so and show you the options rather than mounting it anyway.
What it costs
Cost depends on the TV size, the mount type, the wall, and whether the cords are being hidden inside the wall. We look at the job and explain the price before any work starts, and we ask before making any change that affects it.
The website does not issue binding estimates. Nothing gets drilled until you have approved the work.
